Planning Board to Hear Turkey Farm Owner's Ideas on Land Use

Presentation will be made to borough on July 10 at municipal building.

The property owner has scheduled a presentation with the planning board, now set for Thursday, July 10, in which the Turkey Farm Acquisition will show the borough what it would like to do with the land and buildings at the corner of Rt. 206 and West Main Street.

“This is simply a step the Planning Board feels should take place before any and all discussions start,” said planning board secretary Kerry Brown.

The meeting is set for 7:30 p.m. at 50 North Road and is open to the public. Residents are encouraged to attend.

The Turkey Farm has hit some road blocks in recent years, including a wastewater management issue recognized last summer. A group of residents began a visioning process to address the property, making recommendations on how to best utilize the land.
