Christie Considering White House Bid? NJ Governor Says Yes

Even before he was re-elected as New Jersey's governor in November of 2013, rumors began swirling about Chris Christie's potential run for the White House in 2016.

The second-term governor, addressing a conference in Washington Wednesday and speaking with CBS News' Bob Schieffer, made a statement more telling than most recently when asked about his considerations for a White House bid.

After telling Schieffer he felt the months-long Bridgegate scandal would be merely a "footnote" by the time 2016 rolled around, the news anchor asked him point blank about his political future.

"Are you still thinking about running for president, and when will you make a decision on that?" Schieffer asked.

"Yes and later," Christie quickly shot back. 

In the video above, Christie explains what impact the scandal will have on his political future.

"As far as the impact this will have on my political future, I think [Bridgegate] will have none," Christie said. "Cuz I didn't do anything."
