Free 'Musik' and New Force Addition Tuesday in Mendham-Chester

See which hot topic story we're working on today.

Who doesn’t love free? Who doesn’t love new? And who doesn’t love a spirited conversation?

Well, on Tuesday, you’ll be getting all three.

First, the Piano Workshop in Chester will hold a free Kindermusik Demo class at 10:30 a.m. The demonstration includes instrument exploration, vocal play and expressive movement. Find out more here.

Now for the new: the Mendham Township Committee will hold its regular committee meeting Tuesday night at 7:30 p.m. A highlight of the meeting will be the swearing in of the police department’s newest member. To see what else is being explored on the agenda, go here.

We’re also working on a story about a special meeting being held by the West Morris Regional Board of Education Wednesday night. The hot topic concerns the need to contract facility monitors for each high school. To make the move official, a full majority of the board needs to vote yes. At last week’s meeting, only seven of the nine members were present, and the vote to approve the personnel ended 4-3.
