Mendham Borough Fire Department proudly protects 5,000 people living in an area of six square miles. We operate out of one station that protects a primarily residential area.

Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. We have an ISO rating of 5/9. We respond to an average of 200 calls each year.

The Mendham Fire Department is made up of the Mendham Independent Hook & Ladder Co.– formed in 1905, the Mendham Hose Company– formed in 1913 and the Mendham First Aid Rescue Squad– formed in 1940. We are a total volunteer organization.
