 Andrea is a former school teacher and has more years of classroom experience than she’ll admit. She has her Master’s Degree in Education and is certified to teach kindergarten through eighth grade. While teaching, she was recruited by the Silver Burdett and Ginn Educational Texbook Company and was employed by them as a consultant and a science editor.

She became the proud owner of a trained German Shepherd in the early 1980’s.  She was truly amazed that a dog could actually ‘listen’ to a human and obey.  Thus, an entirely new passion developed...she had loved seeing the &#39;lightbulb of understanding&#39; ignite while classroom teaching, but to see the same lightbulb ignite in a dog was both amazing and exhilarating. 

While she had her first German Shepherd, she was fortunate to find an eight week old Airedale Terrier puppy at a local animal shelter.  Knowing what a source of joy and pride a well trained dog can be, she found a puppy class and enrolled her Airedale.   Seeing the relationship bond between them become stronger with each new training class was all the motivation Andrea needed to set her sights on becoming a dog trainer. 

In July of 2004, Andrea and her second Airedale terrier puppy enrolled in a dog training school in the mid west.  Both Andrea and “Cory” graduated with honors and <strong>K9 Miracles Dog Training, LLC</strong> began.

Over the years, Andrea has taken continuing education courses on various aspects of canine behavior, health and training.  She holds Professional Member status in the International Association of Canine Professionals.
