Halloween at the Hive Hits Chester Saturday

MCAW event for kids and Minutemen look for momentum this weekend.

The last weekend of October is here, and there’s plenty to enjoy in the area. Let’s take a look.

Halloween at the Hive! is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Saturday in the Chester Springs Shopping Center. The Hive, run by the Morris County Arts Workshop, is holding its third annual Halloween workshop for families in a creative and safe environment.

There will be 13 “spooky stations” offering arts and crafts, storytelling, ghoulish games, and Wheel of Misfortune.

Coming off a huge home victory against Roxbury by a score of 13-0, the Mendham Minutemen look to keep the momentum going against the winless Chatham Cougars this week.

Currently 2-3-1 on the season, Mendham will head across the county to play on Chatham’s home field at 2:30 p.m. Saturday. The team currently sits in sixth place in the North 2, Group 3 standings. A win and an Iselin Kennedy loss would bump the Minutemen into the fifth spot.

Chatham lost 41-0 to West Morris Central last week.
