Minutemen, Randolph Can't Find Winner in Overtime Thriller

Offensive showcase an instant classic for both schools.

The Mendham Minutemen football team, now under the direction of former coach Bill Carpluk, has shown it won't go down without a fight in any game this season.

Saturday's gridiron tilt against the Randolph Rams was no different – only this time, neither team was going to give up.

The two sides battled to a triple-overtime, 38-38 tie, according to nj.com. Mendham was up eight points as late as the fourth quarter, but Randolph battled back to tie the game before the end of regulation, the report said.

Mendham quarterback Jack Horan ran for three scores and threw a touchdown pass, nj.com reported.

Mendham is now 1-2-1 on the season, and will host sister school West Morris Central Friday, Oct. 11 at 7 p.m.
