Mendham Girls LAX Slides Past Madison for Tourney Semifinal Spot
Team will host Chatham Thursday in semifinal game.
Defending their home field Tuesday, Mendham's girls lacrosse team took on Madison in the Morris County Tournament quarterfinals, winning by four goals to advance.
According to nj.com, the 15-11 win was fueled by Carrie Speicher, who netted four goals and two assists.
Mendham will host the No. 3 seed Chatham Cougars Thursday in the Morris County Tournament semifinals. The winner will head to the title game and play the winner of No. 4 seed West Morris Central and No. 1 seed Mountain Lakes.
Carly Maita, Christine Long and Christine Graziano all scored three goals apiece for Mendham in the win, the report said.
