Mendham Crushes Knolls for Boys LAX Opening Round Tourney Win

Minutemen will play Mt. Olive on Tuesday in quarterfinal round.

The Mendham Minutemen made quick work of their first round opponent in the NJSIAA boys lacrosse tournament over the weekend, taking down Morris Knolls by a score of 17-4. 

Mendham’s Ross Coapman led all scorers with four goals and an assist, according to nj.com, followed by Tim Gillespie with three goals of his own. Chandler Avallone was a passing machine, racking up four assists. 

No. 4-seed Mendham will host No. 12 seed Mount Olive Tuesday in the quarterfinal round of the tournament. The winner will head to the semifinals to face off against either top-see Ridgewood or No. 8 seed Montville, also scheduled to play Tuesday.
