Girls Track Team Has Strong Showing at Meet of Champions

Top-25 finish for four athletes highlights season-ending competition.

The Mendham Minutemen girls track team made its presence felt at the New Jersey Meet of Champions Saturday, competing in multiple events and having a strong showing.

Mackenzie Barry, who recently signed on to run for Providence College, took second place in the 3,200-meter race. Teammate Juliam Mzanski took home ninth place in the pole vault.

The duo of Sierra Tonnesen and Audrey O’Neill came in 20th and 24th, respectively, in the 400-meter dash.

Mendham’s 4x400 relay team took third in the Eastern State Championships at the Armory in New York last week with a time of 4:02.63 as well. The team is made up of Audrey O' Neill, Cali Heffernan, Margo Medenbach and Sierra Tonnesen.
