Storms Coming to the Regional School Board

Don Storms to serve in first Chester Borough seat on West Morris Regional School Board. Mendham Borough elects three members.

The boards of education who chose to move their elections to November got a chance to test their theory on turnout with the Nov. 6 General Election. 

The West Morris Regional Board of Education also had Don Storms hoping to take Chester Borough's first ever seat on the regional board. Storms won his campaign with an unconfirmed 32 out of 47 total votes cast.

The Mendham Borough Board of education had three candidates for three open slots. S. Beth Cocuzza, Anne Marie Hornyak and Frederick K. Schoenbrodt. Cocuzza led the pack with 1,215 votes for 33 percent of the total with Hornyak close behind with 1,200 for another 33 percent of the total. Schoenbrodt garnered 1,193 votes for 32 percent of the total.

Mendham Township kept their election in April and did not have a vote on Nov. 6.
