Snowstorm Brings Early Dismissal to Local Schools Thursday

Four school districts take early precaution as major winter precipitation approaches.

With the forecasted potential of close to 10 inches of snow being dumped on the area between Thursday and Friday, area schools are taking precautions by dismissing students early.

The West Morris Regional, Chester, Mendham Borough and Mendham Township school districts will all have early dismissals Thursday as a major winter storm works its way into the region.

Near-blizzard conditions are expected in the area and the National Weather Service is predicting between six and 10 inches of snow in the northern New Jersey area.
