Mendham Competes For Halvorsen Cup Thursday
Minutemen take on Roxbury at 6:15 p.m. at the Mennen Arena.
After their 4-3 victory against rival West Morris Central, the Mendham High School varsity hockey team set themselves on a collision course with Roxbury for the Halvorsen Cup on Thursday at 6:15 p.m. at the Mennen Arena.
The Minutemen's current record for is 18-2-2 on the season and have been ranked second in the state in the Public B group. The Mendham squad is co-ed, with two female players on the roster, and has the leading point-producer in the state with forward Grant Jozefek who is close to breaking 100 points this season and has already beat the state's freshman points record.
The last time Mendham won the title and took home the Halvorsen Cup was in 2009.
