Whitney Houston's House is Yours for $1,499,900

Celebrity's home on the market for first time since her death in 2012.

A $1.5 million home in Mendham Township, N.J. isn't all that rare. But a home that was built and lived in by one of the 20th century's biggest celebrities is.

Whitney Houston, who died on Feb. 11, 2012 from an apparent drowning in a Beverly Hills hotel, built the 13,000 square-foot home in 1987, according to Zillow.com.

Houston married R&B star Bobby Brown on the property in 1992.

The home includes five bedrooms, four full, and two half bathrooms set upon 24 acres of land. The home is listed by Gregory Taylor of Hoboken, and hit the market with its current price tag on Tuesday, Feb. 4.

This isn't the first try at selling the home, however. The property went on sale with a different listing company in February 2011 for a price of $1.75M, and was taken down nearly a year later, on Jan. 23, 2012, the Zillow profile showed.

Taxes on the property reached $37,400 in 2012. The YouTube video above shows more than two minutes of a photo slideshow from the property.
