Turkey Farm Presentation to Chester Planning Board Thursday Canceled

No new date announced.

A much-anticipated planning board meeting won't feature much sizzle Thursday night, as all agenda items concerning the Larison's Turkey Farm have been removed.

Property owner Turkey Farm Acquisition was originally scheduled to conduct a presentation at the 7:30 p.m. meeting at Chester Borough town hall on North Road, but will not, according to Kerry Brown at the Chester Construction Department.

There is no timetable yet on when the presentation will be held at a future planning board meeting, Brown said.

The Turkey Farm has hit some road blocks in recent years, including a wastewater management issue recognized last summer. A group of residents began a visioning process to address the property, making recommendations on how to best utilize the land.

Prior discussions with the borough included adding a hotel or convenience store to the land, which have not been brought to fruition.
