Paving Project to Snarl Traffic for 3 Days on Rt. 24

Alternating travel lanes and intermittent lane closures expected during roadwork.

A much needed paving project will take to the stretch of roadway between Cold Hill Road and Yardley Road on Rt. 24 next week, creating spot closures and detours.

Beginning Monday, July 14 slightly less than one mile of the county road will be milled and paved under the direction of Morris County. Construction hours will be between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., Mendham Township police said.

During that time, alternate lanes of travel will be available, but spot closures are possible as well. Detours will be established for motorists.
