Mendham Twp. Administrator to Take Manager Post in Randolph

Stephen Mountain will start working with Randolph Twp. as its top administrator on April 14 after 17 years in Mendham Twp.

After 17 years overseeing the town’s day-to-day operations, Mendham Township administrator Stephen Mountain will be leaving his post to take the same position for Randolph Township.

Randolph Township’s council approved the hire late last week, according to its website. Current Randolph Township Manager John Lovell will retire at the end of March after 16 years of service with the municipality.

The move is a coming home of sorts for Mountain, who served as Randolph’s assistant township manager from 1992 to 1997 before heading over to Mendham Township, the website said.
