Get Social With Chester Township Police

Chester Township residents that use Twitter now can interact with their officials through @ctoem.com and the recently activated @chestertownship.org account. Residents can also enroll in the GEOCAST /911 Reverse Directory system.

Anyone who wishes to get timely emergency information from the Chester Township Office of Emergency Management and the Chester Township Police Department is encouraged to “follow” them on Twitter.

Information such as road closures, known power outages, emergency situations, and shelter information will be “tweeted” to followers. But for those already using the ctoem account, the @chestertownship address will be the only twitter account for Chester Township after April 15.

The GEOCAST / 911 Reverse Directory is an emergency information system utilized by the Morris County Communications Center that dispatches calls for our and many other Morris County jurisdictions.

The system will contact landline and cell phones in case of an emergency within a predetermined radius. In order to register your cell phone for this service, you must visit https://morriscounty.onthealert.com and sign up.
