Flanders man charged with motor vehicle violations in accident that resulted in the death of a Hackettstown woman's unborn baby.

A 40-year-old Flanders man whose 2012 Chevy Express van struck a pregnant Hackettstown woman's Lincoln Navigator last month has been issued summonses for speeding and failure to keep right, according to Thomas Zelante from the Morris County Prosecutor's Office.

The citations were written for Jason Mooney following the accident on Feb. 11, where according to the prosecutor's office, Mooney's van crossed the double yellow line close to the intersection of Route 206 and Cooper Lane. The ensuing accident resulted in the death of the woman's unborn baby. The investigation remains open and active, Zelante said.

According to a release sent by the prosecutor's office Wednesday, Mooney, 40, of Flanders, was driving a 2012 Chevy Express van when he crashed into the 39-year-old Hackettstown mother's Lincoln Navigator around 4 p.m. after crossing the double yellow line close to the intersection of Route 206 and Cooper Lane.
