Mendham Twp. Urges Residents to Register for Emergency Notifications

System will help residents learn about emergencies, road closures in real-time.

Mendham Township police do their best to alert residents and help in emergency situations. But not all locals know how to get that information when it becomes available.

So the police department is asking residents to sign up for a notification system at morrisoem.org. The instructions to do so are as follows:

  • Go to the this page:  http://www.morrisoem.org/alerts.asp
  • Then click on the “Register Me” link in middle of the upper part of the page.
  • Then follow the prompts to set up a profile & enter all of your information, including the numbers & emails on which you would want to be contacted.
  • Pick what alerts you wish to receive( by checking all of the boxes ensures that the police gets the proper information to you;  we take great efforts not to abuse the system & only send out pertinent alerts to specific areas).

The process should take no more than five to 10 minutes, the notice said, and is not the same as the Morris County Mass Notification System. Anyone with questions can contact 973-829-8602.
