Icy Roads Lead to Crash in Mendham Township

No one injured in the crash, but Mendham Township Police urge caution on the roads this evening.

Slippery road conditions contributed to a crash on Old Mill and Burnett Road, Mendham Township Police said.

The accident occurred just before 4:30 p.m. Monday. According to Mendham Township Police Lt. Vito Abrusci the wintry weather conditions contributed to the accident which sent a car into a tree.

"The crash was weather related," Abrusci said. "The roads have iced over and there is unexpected icying conditions."

Abrusci said that while EMTs were called to the scene as a precaution there were no injuries in the accident. Abrusci also urged residents to be careful if they had to travel the roads.

"The Mendham Township Department of Public Works has been requested to re-salt all our roads," Abrusci said."Please drive safely."
