Three people, including a 10-year-old girl, were taken to the hospital Sunday after a head-on collision in Chester Township, according to police.
Township Police Lt. Edward Noonan said a Jeep Cherokee traveling westbound on Route 24 collided with a Toyota Camry, which had turned off Fox Chase Road onto Route 24 East at 2:30 p.m.
A 48-year-old man drove the Jeep, police said. The man’s 10-year-old daughter was a passenger. An 81-year-old man was driving the Camry.
Officials were unable to provide names or hometowns of either driver or the girl.
Both cars were disabled and towed away from the scene, which had been cleared by 3:30 p.m., Noonan said.
The Chester First Aid Squad transported the two drivers and the passenger for treatment of minor injuries to Morristown Memorial Hospital.
The Chester Volunteer Fire Department also responded to the scene.
