Former Undercover Cop to Teach Parents About Cyber Bullying Dangers

Evening presentation will be held at Black River Middle School April 23.

In the age of the Internet, kids and teens going online and interacting with others is now the norm.

With that comes problems like cyber bullying, a practice that seems near epidemic proportions. Black River Middle School in Chester Township is taking the next step in alerting students and parents to dangers of cyber bullying.

On April 23 at 7 p.m., the school will host Keith Dunn, a former undercover Internet detective who now goes around the country to teach parents and students about the ever-growing problem.

The presentation will explore cyber bullying and the many issues facing parents, with a live online demonstration that illustrates how quickly a child can become involved in an unsafe situation.

Dunn, a former member of the Cumberland County, New Jersey Prosecutor’s Office, founded the nonprofit KDCOP Foundation in 2013 after spending a dozen years speaking to schools about cyber safety.
