DWI Checkpoint Coming to Mt. Olive Memorial Day Weekend

Morris County Prosecutor's Office announces establishment of checkpoint thanks to state grant.

As the crackdown on seatbelt violators rolls along until June 1 in the annual Click It or Ticket Campaign, Acting Morris County Prosecutor Fredric Knapp announced Wednesday a drunken driving checkpoint will be established this weekend in Mt. Olive.

The checkpoint is a result of a grant received by the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office from the State Division of Highway Traffic Safety Administration that will enable law enforcement to establish DWI checkpoints at various locations and times throughout the county.

This weekend’s scheduled checkpoint in Mt. Olive does not yet have a public date or location, but the Prosecutor’s Office will announce details when they become available.
