Cops: Woman Forged Prescriptions

The following information was provided by the Chester Township Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A 28-year-old Randolph woman was arrested on several charges after forging prescriptions and getting a hold of drugs illegally, Chester Township Police said.

Marcela Cedeno, was arrested by Detective Anthony DaCunza after an investigation into a fraudulently obtained prescription attributed to Cedeno by her employer, police said.

Cedeno was charged with theft of NJ prescription blanks, forgery of a prescription, utterance of a forged Instrument, health care claims fraud, obtaining a controlled dangerous drug without a prescription, and obtaining a controlled dangerous substance through fraud, police said.

Cedeno was released from custody pending a court appearance in New Jersey Superior Court.
