Chester Twp. Police Hold Drug Take-Back Event

Department will collected expired and unwanted medications on April 26.

The Chester Township Police Department will participate in the Drug Enforcement Administration's national take-back initiative on Saturday, April 26.

The October nationwide collection took in 647,211 pounds—324 tons—of expired and unwanted medications at more than 5,600 sites across the country. It was the second largest collection of medications in seven take-back days.

The National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposal, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of these medications.

The medications can be dropped off at the Chester Township Police Department located at 1 Parker Road on April 26 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. No sharps will be accepted.
