Chester Borough Cops Step Up Patrol For Click It Or Ticket Campaign

Annual initiative will run through June 1.

From now until June 1, expect to see additional Chester Borough police officers on patrol, as the department is taking part in the annual Click It or Ticket campaign.

The annual initiative, which began Monday, May 19, may include seatbelt checkpoints and a “heavy saturation of roving patrols dedicated to enforcing the seatbelt laws,” according to Chief David Jara.

Chester Borough is one of hundreds of municipalities in New Jersey that received a grant from the New Jersey Division of Highway and Traffic Safety to take part in the two-week long campaign.
