Lifelong Mendham Resident, Racquet Club Employee Dies at 54

Randall Priest loved the outdoors and frequented Patriots Path and Schiff Reservation.

“Randall of the Woods” was what friends and neighbors affectionately called him because he enjoyed the peace and serenity of the outdoors.

That’s how Randall Priest, 54, has been remembered in his obituary at baileyfuneralhomes.com.

Priest was born in Morristown and was a lifelong resident of Mendham. He died on Nov. 13 after a short illness.

The Mendham Racquet and Tennis Club maintenance worker spent much of his time on Patriots Path and at Schiff Reservation enjoying camping, hiking, and fishing. Priest spent time working at local businesses such as Holly Manor Nursing Home, Mendham Hardware, and St. Joseph Church.

Priest is survived by three brothers and two sisters. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 22 at Bailey Funeral Home at 8 Hilltop Road in Mendham. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the New Jersey Audobon Society in Bernardsville is being accepted.
