Harold Kagan of Mendham Passes at 81

Mendham native lived and worked in Chester for many years before returning to Mendham.

Harold Kagan, of Mendham, passed away peacefully Sunday, May 13 2012, at his home. He was 81. 

Born in Mendham to Jesse and Mary (Hildebrant) Kagan, Harold lived in Chester and was employed as an excavator by Merton Excavating.

After retiring he spent several years working for the Johnson family on their farm and returned to live in Mendham

Harold will be remembered as loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle.

He is survived by his wife,  Albertine (Poyck);  sons, Arthur of Pen Argyl, Pa, Jesse of Hackettstown, Harold of Budd Lake, four grandchildren; one sister. Dorothy Finch of Mendham; nieces Pat and Lora Finch and Roseann Araneo; nephew Ken Finch and several other nieces and nephews.

Interment was held Wednesday, May 16, at Hilltop Cemetery in Mendham.  Arrangements by the Bailey Funeral Home of Mendham.
