Decorated Vietnam Soldier, Former Chester Resident Dies at 68

Frank Curtin enjoyed the outdoors.

Frank Curtin enjoyed the outdoors and was known to be an avid hunter, fisher, surfer and loved sports. 

The former Chester resident passed away Dec. 4 at the VA Hospital in Lyons, NJ at the age of 68, according to his obituary at williamjleberfh.com.

Curtin received a bronze star, among other medals, for his service in the Army’s 82nd Airborne Division during the Vietnam War from 1969 to 1970. After his service in the military, Curtin became a corporate sales manager for Sharp and Xerox.

The Bayley-Ellard High School alum lived in Randolph, Ocean City and Chester over the years, and will have his final resting place at German Valley Rural Cemetery in Long Valley.

Curtin is survived by two daughters, both his parents, three brothers, a sister and many nieces and nephews.
