Bee Keeping Seminar

Are you a honeybee enthusiast or just curious about this amazing

occupation?  Starting your first hive is
easier than you think and Alstede is here to help. Come to our Beekeeping
Seminar Saturday, May 3rd to learn the basics of beekeeping. The instructor for this seminar will be Brian Rowe,
Vice President of the Morris-Somerset Beekeeping Association and leader of the
Somerset 4H Beekeeping Club.  This course will take you through you everything you need to get started, from equipment, hive location, breed selection, biology, pest, and disease control.  Seminar Participants will examine a nucleus hive and hive a 3lb package of bees. Seminar participants will also be able to purchase bees and equipment (quantity limited, pre-order suggested). Two sessions are available (9 a.m. to 12 noon or 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.) and reservations are recommended.
