Voters Come Out to Support Unchallenged Mendham, Chester Incumbents

All Republicans move on to November General Election ballot.

While no candidates were challenged in the Mendham Borough, Mendham Township and Chester Township Primary Elections, voters still turned out to complete their civic duty.

Mendham Mayor Neil Henry received 289 votes as he seeks his fourth consecutive term as the town’s governing leader.

Two incumbents on the Mendham Borough council ran unopposed, as Brad Badal received 251 votes while John Andrews grabbed 277 votes.

In Mendham Township, newcomer Diana Orban Brown received 249 votes. She ran unopposed as incumbent Rob Strobel did not file for the Primary Election. Orban Brown will be unchallenged in the November General Election for a three-year seat on the Mendham Township Committee.

It was much of the same in Chester Township, as incumbents Matthew Kass and Daniel O’Donnell received 311 and 297 votes, respectively.

The General Election is scheduled for Tuesday, November 4, 2014.
