Winter Storm Khan Threatens Evening Commute

"Weak" storm could still produce slick roads and low visibility for the rush hour ride and beyond.

Residents are hoping to not break out their finest William Shatner impression while screaming the name "Khan" out of frustration tonight.

The winter storm that shares a name with the famous Star Trek villain rolls into the area between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. has been labeled as "weak" by the National Weather Service (NWS) with accumulation expected to be no more than a couple of inches, there still is a potential for dangerous conditions on area roads.

Given how cold it has been most of the week, the snow will accumulate immediately resulting in slick conditions on untreated roads and walkways, the NWS said in a weather advisory statement.
