Pleasant Valley Under Construction This Week

Bad news for those who travel Pleasant Valley Road this week: the road is subject to closure while it is milled and paved.

The good news is that neither Mendham Township or Mendham Borough have to pay for it.

"It is being paid for as part of a grant. Our $125,000 will pay for all of our part," said Mendham Borough administrator Ellen Sandman. "And that is half of the grant being split with the Township."

Weather permitting, the job is expected to be completed this week, but officials warn residents to expect delays around the area and to plan alternate routes.
