Another sweltering and varied week in Mendham and Chester as the mercury rose and the news stated hot.

After a Facebook page was anonymously set up claiming he "did not care" about his consituents (allegedly by someone who is not one of his constituents), Mendham Borough Mayor Neil Henry weighed in on his track record with his community, his accessibility and the cowardice of anononimity.

In a surprising turn of events, much beloved Bragg School principal Dan Johnson announced he was leaving Chester for an opportunity to be principal of Sparta High School. That now leaves the Chester Consolidated School system searching for a replacement before the new school year begins.

A group of Staten Island residents were pinched this week after a motor vehicle stop turned up drugs and a BB gun illegal under the Graves Act. Two of the vehicles passengers were arrested while the driver was released with a summons for tailgating.

Our super-awesome Readers' Choice relaunch kicked into high gear this week as we opened the polls to the community for their votes on the best of everything in and around town.
