Celebrate Mendham: Mendham TV's 2012 Mendies (Video)

Fourth Annual celebration of the Mendhams on Friday, March 9 at 7 p.m..

The Fourth Annual Mendies, the awards celebration of the Mendhams, is switching venues for their Friday, March 9 ceremony. After three years at the , the Mendies have moced to St. Joseph's Hall on the campus of the off Hilltop Road in Mendham Borough.

"After two sellouts in a row, we needed a bigger venue," commented long-time community organizer Evan "Buzzy" Thomas.  "The sisters have been most accomodating."

Sponsored by the Mendham TV, the Mendies are designed to recognize the best of the Mendhams and bring residents of Mendham Township and Mendham Borough together for a night of local celebration.

The Mendies will once again feature:

  • A silent auction
  • A "Red Carpet" walk
  • Heavy appetizers
  • Adult beverages
  • A shortened awards ceremony
  • Dancing  to the music of Rob Trout & the Flounders.  

Awards will include the Hall of Fame induction,  a current contributing citizen award and Best of Mendham TV award winners. A ballot form for these awards is included in PDF form for download and submission.

Hall of Fame inductees are Gary Quam, former Mendham High music and band director, Mike Ackerman, former Mayor of Mendham Boro, Pat Maynard, long time Mendham Township community contributor and Brian Phelan, former Mendham Township Committeeman and community contributor.

Tickets are available for $40 from members of the Mendham TV Board or at participating sponsors, including Mendham Capital Management, Somerset Hills Bank, the Provident Bank and the Brookside Post Office. Last year was a sellout, so interested residents are encouraged to buy their tickets early.
