Donate to Hurricane Sandy Disaster Relief–'By the Sea,' Original Song by Chelsea Carlson

Donate to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief.

My name is Chelsea Carlson.  I am a rock singer/songwriter and musician from Flanders, New Jersey.  This past Tuesday, I released my newest original song, "By the Sea," in remembrance of the Jersey Shore as we knew it prior to last week's storm.  I'm reaching out to you today in an effort to help those who were most affected by Hurricane Sandy.

On Monday, October 29, 2012, Hurricane Sandy made landfall in southern New Jersey. She left 8.5 million people without power, cancelled over 18,000 flights, decimated homes, businesses, and landmarks across ten states, leaving exceptional damage in New Jersey and New York.

The Jersey Shore, where many of us vacationed, lived, and loved for generations, has been completely destroyed and will never be the same as we once knew it. As this news sunk in, I felt compelled to write "By the Sea" as a memorial to the places I visited since I was a toddler.

In purchasing this track, you will help to support the American Red Cross Disaster Relief in support of those most affected by Hurricane Sandy. While the track is only $1.00, you are able to donate as much as you want to - 100% of the proceeds from this song will be given to the Red Cross.

The Jersey Shore may not be what it once was, but together we can help each other and rebuild lives, homes, and hope.

Stay strong!!!
