Publick House Returns to Historic Form With 10-Room Hotel

Second-floor renovation creates 10 suites above longtime restaurant.

The 204-year-old building that sits at 111 Main Street in Chester Borough originated as a hotel and tavern. Over the years, it has gone through several iterations, most recently hosting The Publick House restaurant.

The historic building has gone back to its roots, now offering hotel amenities after a second-floor renovation created 10 suites and two meeting rooms.

Now serving as a hotel, the venue is the only one of its kind in Chester Borough or Township.
