New Business Says Mathnasium + Mendham = Success

Mathnasium, a math-only learning center for kids, has opened its newest location in Mendham at the Mendham Village Shopping Center and is inviting the community to its Grand Opening on Feb. 28 at 6 p.m.

“It is very exciting to be a part of helping the kids of our community succeed by offering them an opportunity to develop a better understanding of math concepts,” said Stacey Cordray, Center Director with Mathnasium of Mendham.  “Our goal is to eliminate the confusion and intimidation that often accompanies the subject of math and replace it with understanding and passion.”

According to Cordrat, during the grand opening, Mathnasium will introduce its services to the Mendham community, and show local residents they can “count” on Mathnasium to forge a positive attitude towards math among area students.

Mathnasium’s program is for students in Pre-K through 12th grade who may need to boost their math skills or need an extra challenge.  In addition to math tutoring, homework help and test prep are available.  Mathnasium’s approach is to determine what a student knows and does not know, then tailor a personalized and prescriptive learning program. The goal is to significantly increase a child’s math skills, understanding of math concepts, and overall school performance, while building confidence and a positive attitude toward the subject.

 “Math can be very intimidating to both parents and children, so we hope the Grand Opening will show how the Mathnasium Method makes math fun and interesting," Cordray said. "Mathnasium of Mendham provides both instruction and practice - all in a welcoming, comfortable environment.”

In celebration of its grand opening in Mendham, Mathnasium is offering free assessments and $100 off registration during February and March. At the Grand Opening they are having a ribbon cutting ceremony, music, food, games and prizes. They will be providing information about their programs and giving special discounts for people who join their program.
