Larison's Corner Update Tuesday Night

Discussion scheduled to begin at 9 p.m. during the Chester Borough Council meeting.

The next step for the Larison's Corner property is scheduled to be taken on Feb. 19 at 9 p.m. as part of the regular meeting of the Chester Borough Mayor and Council.

The council will once again be discussing the Larison's property and are encouraging residents to participate in the discussion.

After a pair of visioning meetings to decide the fate of the landmark property, planner David Banisch came to the conclusion that more outreach was necessary to settle the long-standing debate.

That outreach was done through a new website solely devoted to the Turkey Farm Visioning project. The site is designed to solicit feedback on the future land uses and development of the Larison’s Corner Turkey Farm property. Residents can view and comment on documents and media from the two public visioning sessions held in December, they can also visit the interactive PPGIS map of the Larison’s Corner property to view comments posted to the map by other community members and add their own comments and photos and they can go to the dedicated discussion page to leave a public comment or start a discussion.

The Feb. 3 Vision Statement Status Report and Map entitled "Existing Conditions & Potential Future Use Areas" to be discussed at Tuesday's meeting can be viewed on the Borough's website for the project
