Teen Crashes Car In Chester Store

Long Valley teenager mistook gas for the brake, police say.

A 17-year-old Long Valley girl drove her Acura sedan through the storefront of an AT&T AMF Wireless in Chester Friday morning.

The driver was uninjured and no one inside the store was hurt, according to Chester Borough police at the scene.

The driver mistakenly stepped on the gas pedal rather than the brake when parking in front of the store, resulting in the smashed storefront, police said.

The Chester Borough Construction Official responded to the scene and determined that there was no structural damage to the building. The vehicle was removed from the building without incident by Motion Towing.
