Jim Breuer Wants Your Submission for Chester Film Festival

Community event is free, submissions still being accepted.

The Chester Movie Theatre might be gone and the overall cost to catch a flick with the family is enough to break a wallet, but that doesn’t mean residents can’t get some laughs in the community.

Comedian and Chester resident Jim Breuer will host the annual Chester Family Film Festival on July 5 at Gazebo Park, and best of all, as the small and big screen actor says himself, it’s free!

On top of that, the festival is airing the 10 best family-oriented films submitted by residents. The original deadline was set for June 13, but has been extended to June 30. Filmmakers can submit their three-minute videos on Jim Breuer’s website by going here.

Breuer continues to immerse himself in the community while he tours the country to perform his stand-up routine. He recently spent a month of Sundays speaking to the congregation at Mendham Hills Community Church about the ups and downs of marriage, and earlier this year put on a stand-up night for the Chester Police Benevolence Association.

More information about the film festival can be heard in the video posted above, or by visiting Breuer’s website here.
