Mendham’s Former Miss New Jersey Teen USA to Perform at Local Ballgame

Savannah Lynx takes break from college, recording career to sing in Morris County.

She’s done everything from travel around the world to winning the title of Miss New Jersey Teen USA in 2011 and is on the verge of releasing her first album.

Now she’s coming back to the area and performing for her local fans for a great cause.

Savannah Schecter, 20, of Mendham will sing the National Anthem Saturday for Madison High School’s baseball team’s Senior Night in a matchup against Livingston High School. Game time is set for 6 p.m. at Madison’s Dodge Field.

Shecter will stay to greet fans and sign autographs as well. The Gil St. Bernard’s graduate is currently living in Manhattan and working on her musical career while studying political science and psychology at Fordham University.

The signed recording artist recently released her first single, “Colors,” which has been played on the radio and video has aired on MTV.
