Jane Seymour Shows Star Power at Mendham Books

Star of stage, screen and stage, author, painter, and designer signs copies of her new book.

Mendham Books hosted a book signing Wednesday night for the multi-talented, Jane Seymour.

Seymour, known for roles as a Bond girl, Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, as an artist, a painter and an author, talked about her new book, "Healing Hearts - Family" and the many facets of her life.

"Growing up, my home was filled with very special people who were more than just friends, they were more like family and today they still are," Seymour said.  "It occurred to me when you go though tough times in life or even good times in your life, people you're involved with are very special."

Nancy said she wanted to get her family a book for Christmas and Seymour's tome was a great family book to share. Seymour's books seem to be popular as gifts.

"When her books first started coming out, the boys gave me the books as gifts and now I have a niece who is going to have a baby and I said, now I am going to give one of these books to somebody," said Maryellen Faecher, of Flanders.  "She is just a lovely woman and she does such great work.  If you read the books, she is very spiritual."

Fans flocked to the store from not only Morris County, but from as far away as upstate New York.

"I was very excited to meet a 'Bond girl' and it was worth the trip," said Josh Fruchtman, who traveled 1 1/2 hours from Cortland Manor, N.Y., to meet Seymour.
