"Bringing Up Birdie" Educational Program at The Raptor Trust

Spring has sprung and new life is blossoming all around us! With baby bird season right around the corner, The Raptor Trust, one of the premier wild bird rehabilitation centers in New Jersey, will host “Bringing Up Birdie” on Saturday, April 26 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at their Education Center.

“Bringing Up Birdie” offers a firsthand look into the lives of New Jersey’s birds as they build their nests, lay their eggs and begin to take care of their hatchlings. Led by a Raptor Trust educator, the experience includes:

•    A close-up look at the Trust’s collection of actual nests & eggs
•    A peek into the nests of endangered NJ raptors via nest cam
•    A chance to meet a live hawk or owl

“Bringing Up Birdie” is a wonderful and unique way to teach both children and adults about what they can do to help all wild birds during this bird-busy time of year.  To register for this event, call the Education Center at (908)647-1091.  The program is $10 and suitable for everyone ages 7 and older.
