Mark Brackman (2-2) pitched a complete game shutout and gave up just three hits and struck out 11 to lead the Lancaster Barnstormers over the Somerset Patriots 6-0 at TD Bank Ballpark on Wednesday night.
Tommy Everidge and Jaime Pedroza each hit two home runs for the Barnstormers in the game.
A two-run home run by Everidge (3) gave Lancaster an early 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning.
A solo shot by Pedroza (6) in the second inning and another solo home run by Everidge (4) gave the Barnstormers a 4-0 advantage.
Pedroza (7) drove his second home run of the game over the right field wall to increase the lead to 5-0 in the sixth inning.
Lancaster tacked on their final run in the top of the eighth inning on an RBI single by Adam Godwin for the 6-0 final.
Roy Merritt (2-1) suffered the loss for the Patriots, allowing four runs on three hits in two innings pitched.
The 2012 Somerset Patriots season presented by Ford will continue at home on Thursday night when the Patriots take on the Barnstormers at 7:05 p.m. The game includes Patriots Top15 Card Strips for the first 2,000 fans presented by Learning Rx Warren and Somerset County Teacher Appreciation Night.
