Sounds like they were harassing that woman. And they let her go because they felt she was drunk? They are morons and bullies

This guy just pulled over my friend with my young daughter-she could not believe how rude he was and he gave a ticket for no registration. Her registration was good...as she was speaking to him he left while she was in mid sentence....he pulled her over because she flashed her lights at an oncoming car to warn of speed trap...ultimately we want people to slow down not pay for tickets...now a single Mom who works has to take a day off from work to fight an erroneous ticket ..either way she loses...Why are police harassing people?

Nancy Meyers deserve a medal for being so composed, articulate, dignified and honorable in the face of such harrassment. Her supposed crime was driving cautiously and he treated her like a criminal. She is a 71 year old grandmother, for God sakes. Shame on this officer and shame on the department that keeps him employed.

Jane I am assuming you are his mother or wife? Everyone is entitled to an opinion its seems you don't believe in any of our civil rights. I suppose police should be able to do what ever they want to keep us safe. Even if it means ignoring some of ours? I have known some Policemen to be very understanding as well. I have been witness to a policemen letting someone go who forgot to renew their registration. A 70 year old driving too slow in the dark of night on deer invested roadways was really no threat to society. He was just having fun. And I assure you I am not related to either party.

It is irrelevant if I am married / related to this officer, which I am not. If you are going to break the law by flashing your lights to "warn" others, you deserve to be pulled over. The only way people will learn to NOT speed is if they do get pulled over and ticketed. Apparently you are a mother, I would assume you would have enough common sense to recognize that. Pleas explain to me where you feel your "civil riights" were ignored? You did something illegal, pulled over and happened to not have your registration, also illegal. As for the 70 year old woman, she HAD been drinking and she was combative and not following directions. He wanted to ensure, on top of her slow speed and alcohol breath, she was not intoxicated to the point of hurting herself or someone else. I understand people like you will never appreciate the work they do and it's ashame

First of all Flashing lights is not illegal. Secondly I do appreciate having a police force. I don't have to think every officer is just and respectable. Some are VERY and some are NOT. I believe his judgement has been off at least these 2 times. I am sorry if that disturbs you.

that is where you are wrong, flashing your lights is illegal, improper use, ESPECIALLY if you are trying to inform people of a cop ahead. So wherever you got that information they/ you were mistaken. You are entitled to your skewed view of this officer because you are obviously upset you were ticketed for not having the proper documentation with you, your fault not his. He let miss granny go, my opinion he was too nice to do that, cant cut everyone a break can you and i bet you werent the most gracious person to deal with. Everyone is entitled to speak their mind but if you have enough time to google his name when you get home from being pulled over and then comment about him, you will get a very strong responce. Have a great holiday weekend!
