Senior standout Messinger nets four goals in the 13-8 loss.

In a battle of high octane offenses, it was the Moorestown Quakers who had more in the tank as they tallied up 13 goals on their way to a 13-8 group III girls lacrosse title against Minutemen of Mendham.

The Mendham girls came out strong, opening up a quick 3-0 lead. Not to be outdone, the Quakers answered with seven unanswered goals to stake a 7-3 advantage, and they never looked back.

Trapped in a game of catch-up, the Minutemen were neer able to regain the lead.

Senior Aly Messinger lead Mendham with 4 goals and an assist. Junior Gia Padavano and senior Maggie Sinzer each had a pair of goals.
