Early Dismissal for All Local Schools Monday
Snow forces closure, cancellation of after school activities Monday.
All local schools, including Mendham Borough, Mendham Township, Chester Consolidated School Districts and West Morris Mendham High School are closing early Monday due to inclement weather, according to their respective administrations.
Mendham Township Middle School will dismiss at 12:15 p.m., and the elementary school will dismiss at 12:55 p.m., according to the district's website.
Mendham Borough will dismiss at 1 p.m. but will still serve lunch, the district's website said. All after school activities have been cancelled.
Dickerson and Bragg Schools in Chester will dismiss students at 1:20 p.m., and Black River Middle School will dismiss at 12:25 p.m., the administration said.
Mendham High School will dismiss students at noon Monday, according to the admnistration. All after school activities are cancelled.

It's unfortunate that the early dismissal couldn't have been communicated first thing this AM, or minimally, parents advised that an early dismissal was possible and a decision would be made and communicated by 10AM for planning purposes. The weather forecast reflected unsafe conditions last night and this AM so this isn't a surprise. Now working parents/care-takers will be driving in inclement weather to get home to get their children off the bus.
