A 19-year-old Morristown man was arrested after a traffic stop on June 16, Mendham Township Police said.

Patrolman Matthew Ambrosi stopped a 1989 Ford for speeding and having a loud exhaust, police said. 

While speaking with driver Patrick Deighan, Ambrosi was able to observe an open 30-pack of Bud Light beer on the back seat of the vehicle, police said. 

According to police, Deighan was arrested and charged with underage possession of alcohol and having a loud exhaust. 

Both charges are scheduled for a June 2012 court date at the Mendham Municipal Court, police said.
